PRODUCT PROPERTIES

X-tra is a monocomponent mixture of Portland cement, very fine quartzes, active chemical substances and catalysts. Mixed with water, it becomes a grout which once applied on concrete allows the active chemical substances and the catalysts to penetrate internally and to react with the components, forming insoluble crystals which close porosities and micro-cracks.

X-tra waterproofs and protects in depth and in a permanent way all concrete structures, manufactures and materials containing Portland cement.

The penetration of X-tra in concrete uses water as a means, both in positive thrust as well as in counterthrust. No reaction occurs without water. When it is in contact with water, the chemical components become active even after a long time from the application and they continue the penetration process and the formation of insoluble crystals internally to the concrete.



APPLICATION FIELDS

X-tra is normally used on all concrete structures, both vertical and horizontal, recent and old, such as:
• foundation platforms, as powder on fresh concrete or as grout
• indoors and outdoors basements
• elevator pits
• maritime works and manufactures which need resistance to chlorides
• depuration and composting plants, sewers
• water basins, swimming pools, fountains, antifire tanks
• potable water tanks, hydric ducts, irrigation channels
• tunnels, underpasses
• civil and military engineering works like bridges, dams and bunkers
