PRODUCT PROPERTIES

RM-Ostiglia is a mortar obtained by cooking marly limes and sands with 0 to 1.5 mm granulometry at low temperatures. The lime used for RM-Ostiglia is comparable to the Roman lime, opus cementitium, which has exceeded more than 2,000 years of tests.

The mortar RM-Ostiglia features a beautiful hazelnut colour particularly suited as a bedding mortar with jointing to be left a vista.
The adhesion and the flexibility, features of natural hydraulic lime based mortars, make RM-Ostiglia a prince product for the realization of wall works in general, both those to be left a vista and those to be coated with the same product. The breathability, also a feature of hydraulic lime, makes it particularly suitable for the realization of plasters which protect the wall works and in particular ancient wall works in difficult conditions. The consistency, naturally obtained with the hydraulic lime, avoids the addition of chemical agents. The sum of all the above features makes the mortar RM-Ostiglia a product conceived for a healthy living, creating a transpiring environment, with no condensations, and estetically pleasant where the mortar is a vista. At the same time, it improves the application itself because of those features which cannot be achieved by the use of cement or by artificial mortars.
