Waterproofing joints

Sealing water leaks

Some solutions to the most common problems due to water infiltrations.

joints

COMING OF WATER

Infiltrations may come from different sources:
• between concrete foundations and walls in elevation
• between predalles and vertical walls
• near passing pieces and wasp nests
• caused by static or dynamic cracks
• near discontinuities
• between joints
• between vertical walls and landings
• through tension bar heads

GAIA SOLUTIONS

Injection resisns

GAIA has designed two injection resins with which it is possible to definitely seal all infiltrations in concrete structures..
PU 555 monocomponent polyurethane resin for injection
Acrylflex bicomponent acrylic resin for injection

Technical assistance

TECHNICAL SUPPORT
Our technical office is available to the applier to guarantee assistance, technical documentation, application schemes, specifications and cost analysis, formation and update courses.

ON SITE ASSISTANCE
Our technicians are available to the applier for professional consultation and to provide assistance in the application fases so that our solutions wll always result efficient and of advantage.

Equipment anc accessories

Mono and bicomponent manual pumps ready for use, injection pumps, accessories and spare parts for a 360° assistance.

INJECTION RESINS

• permanently seal infiltrations in concrete structures
• insoluble in water, non toxic and stable in time
• exceptional resistance against chemical agents, alkalii and hydrocarbons
• regulable catalyzation speed

The resins are normally used to seal infiltrations, cracks and faulty joints in all concrete structures, both vertical and horizontal, old and new such as:
foundations, against ground walls, basements, lift pits, marine works, civil and military engineering like bridges, dams, bunkers, depuration plants, sewages, water containment tanks, swimming pools, fire-fighting tanks, potable water tanks, hydric ducts, irrigation channels, tunnels, underground passages.

PU 555
Monocomponent polyurethane resin

polyurethane resin PU 555 is a monocomponent resin based on polyurethane and designed to permanently seal water infiltrations in all concrete structures. The resin PU 555 has a high expansion and is capable of sealing cavities and wasp nests.

Acrylflex
Acrylic bicomponent resin

acrylic resin
Acrylflex is a bicomponent resin dased on acrylic and designed to permanently seal water infiltrations in all concrete structures. Being very fluid with low viscosity, the resin Acrylflex deeply penetrates in the structure and waterproofs microcracks and microfaults remaining ielastic in time.

WATER INFILTRATIONS: SOME PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS
infiltrations
Infiltrations along construction joints and along cracks
Seal the construction joints and along the cracks with injections of Acrylflex/ PU 555. The sealing thus realized is elastic and allows micro movements to the structure..

Infiltrations through the nests present in the concrete castingso
Demolish the nests to the healthy concrete, waterproof the area and repair the demolished parts with the structural and waterproof mortar CR 45 RS, resistant to sulfates.

Sealing of tension bars
Seal all around the bar head with injections of Acrylflex/ PU 555

Technical problem of iron support corrosion
The phenomenon of iron support corrosion is reduced by internally blocking water in the structure. The use of the corrosion inhibitor MC 200 allows to give back a protection against corrosion to iron supports.
