Concrete restoration
Restoration of degraded concrete structures.
The restoration aims to return the original chemical-physical
characteristics to the structure.
|
 |
Preliminary investigation
The causes of the degradation, carbonization, aggression from
chlorides, etc., will be searched thoroughly by an accurate diagnostic
investigation which will determine the true thickness of the degraded
concrete and will quantify the cost of the restoration.

The stages of restoration
Selective mechanical demolition of the degraded concrete
• Removal of the rust from the iron formwork by sandblasting
or mechanical brushing
• Protection of the iron formwork with passivating bicomponent
acrylic-based grout TPC
• Application of anchor primer made by a dilution of the
same structural mortar
• Volumetric restoration by the applying the fiber-reinforced
anti-shrinking mortar CR 45 RS
• Smoothening with anti-shrinking slurry wall finish with
high adherence CR 10 HRS in order
to uniform the surface
• Application of the acrylic film finishing ACRYLON
or of the thick finishing BZ 6 RS as a barrier
to water and carbonization
